100 degrees inside coop today. a fan blowing in, a fan pulling air out, shaded except a sliver. it's hard to manage this heat. they're ok outside - it's inside the coop i'm worried about.
my girls are acting like they're on the brink of laying eggs for the first time & i'm worried about them being in the coop in this heat. normally they leave first thing in the morning & don't return until evening.
i've got some bottles of water frozen waiting to put beside them if i find them in nest boxes. i don't know if this is going to be sufficient. i have heavy breeds.
