I tried the 5gal bucket trap with no luck. I think I have a ton of dumb mice because they didn't even seem to touch the bait.
On the end I took one of my unused chick feeders and mixed half chick feed and half baking powder and just set it out where the chickens couldn't get at it. A few days later started seeing dead mice!
The baking soda creates gas inside the mice that they can't expel and eventually they die. It did take about 3 days after I set it out to see a dead one. But haven't seen any mice since!
