Managing my quail flock

Hi I’m icubating quail and me and my friend are building a big pen so how do I manage my quail flock

What is a 'decent size'? For some people its 6 sq feet, for others 100 sq feet

I forgot how many I can’t well it’s really complicated if those don’t hatch and my females lay more I will put them in the incubatothen the flock will get bigger and bigger

Yeah, but if the flock gets too cramped in space, they will kill each other, so you need to know how big it is. Lot of people agree 1 sq foot per bird is bare minimum, plus uncounted space for food and water

I have no clue what that area size is. You gotta remember too, quail are ground birds. Roosts that would add some space for chickens mean squat to them. They spend their whole lives on the ground
