Managing recurrent issues with duck feet injury

We have 8 Rouen Ducks. They spend a lot of their time in our 3 acre pond but they keep walking up to the house to see us or to beg for food. They’re too fat to fly so they walk what seems to me like long distances.

We have recurring instances of bumblefoot and two ducks are now limping. I’m trying to figure out how to help these two and also set the other ones up to stay healthy.

We collect their eggs but they get to live rent free because I’ve always really liked ducks. I welded a steel structure that they sleep in and we keep it on the grass. We try to move it once a week so they’re not on poo-mud but I’m not happy with their home situation. I’m thinking about building them something with a floor but I’m not even sure what would help them at this point.

Is it possible to keep them free range without them walking themselves out of their feet? We have a concrete driveway and no matter how many times I tell them they insist on walking up and down it multiple times a day.

Looking for some advice about where to quarantine the two that are hurt now, and what to do to prevent the rest from this happening to them too.

John
