Mandarin Duck Eggs — Did I Get Scammed?

Update: The seller claims these are the correct eggs and is insistent they are mandarin duck eggs. I’ve got a refund pending but they’ll probably decline so I’ll have to take it to eBay. Her insistence is making me a little hesitant, but I’ve literally never seen mandarin duck eggs this color.
Duck eggs are pretty easy to tell apart from chicken eggs. They tend to be a tiny bit thicker and have kind of a weird 'shine' to them.

I agree with everyone else though, these are 100% chicken eggs.

It might be worth hatching them to see what comes out, and when.

Chicks in three weeks, or ducklings in a month, should be a pretty clear difference.

I've never seen mandarin duck eggs, but I notice they are a different species than the common domestic ducks that most of us would be more familiar with. So maybe they can lay eggs that color :idunno

And of course if they really ARE mandarin duck eggs, then the seller would NOT owe you a refund.

Mandarin eggs Are a white, maybe a cream, color. Certainly not brown like that.

Those are not duck eggs not even close i bet they just went to the store and got a carton of brown eggs i say sue the piss out of them and get your 300$ back that is so disappointing to wait and get that 🙄🙄
I sure will with how obstinate they’re being about them being mandarin duck eggs. I’ll admit I’m nervous by some chance they ARE mandarin eggs, but it seems impossible to me. Mandarins lay white eggs, every source I’ve looked at says that. If she has mandarins laying dark brown eggs then she must be a worlds first. :lau

If you don’t beat me to it I’ll go whoop this person for you I have owned both ducks and chickens for a long time and I’ve learned how the textures look duck eggs are smooth and chicken eggs have more texture to them this person is absolutely ridiculous 🙄🙄🙄

If you are discussing lawsuits, I really think you should hatch the eggs, or find somewhere that will do a DNA test to prove what species they are (if that is even possible), before you go further with that.

Because at the moment, it works out to:
They say those are eggs from their mandarin ducks
You say mandarin duck eggs could not possibly look like that
They say theirs DO look like that
