Mandarin duck housing question

A question. I cannot find anything on where a mandarin duck will sleep. Do they like to sleep outside on tree branches, or on some sort of shelter on the ground? I was planning on building an above ground aviary, but was just wondering what to do as far as the house.

Mine sleep on top of their nestboxes, and on a sawhorse/perch thingy we have for them.(picture 2 sawhorses next to each other, spread apart at the bottom, but together at the top) Young ones sleep under their mama's wings, and around her once they are bigger.

Ok thanks. So they roost like a chicken would then?

mine do...but their perch is wider than my chickens...the sit right on it. no wrapping their feet around anything.
