mandarin ducks when do males get there colours ???

hi all new to the forum i hatched 3 mandarins last year in my incubator one was run over before xmas leaving me with two.both have similar markings i estimate them to be around 8-9 months old now .one has a red beak and one more a yellow beak (and seems more vocal) the one with the red beak also has more prominent head feathers im really hoping for a male and female but dont know at what age the male gets his colours,thanks in advance matty

hi okay this is probably super late, but by now i think they already have their adult feathers, u have 2 females, but can u post some more pictures? i would like to see what your talking about more closely

females are way more affectionate than males i heard for mandarins which is unlike most other duck species so yeah
