I hatched out chicks this year to find that one had a mangled leg. The chick was holding it out to the side and could or would not put it down on the ground. I looked at it closer to find what seemed like a scratch on the knee-thing, which is what I thought it was limping from. I cleansed it and bandaged it up, keeping it like that and changing the bandages every day.

It is still limping, some 3 weeks later, after the wound vanished. I have examined it and found that at the reversed-knee thing it looks as though it developed wrong. I have tried to correct it only to find it stuck in place.

Is there anything I can do for it? It doesn't seem to be getting round too well and all the other chicks step on top of it. It looks very healthy, though, and hobbles over to the food and water. It is also sort of small and hatched late.

Here is a (very blurry) picture of the chick. BTW, the newspaper is temporary. I have to get more wood shavings at tractor supply.
