Manila typhoon

This is a long shot, but does anyone have any updated info about what's happening there and how much damage was done to Manila itself? I have a friend who lives there and works for Dell, am worried about him.

Thanks! There have been little articles in the paper here, I know about the ferry but I'm pretty sure my friend would've been at work; he's a supervisor there at Dell and spent most of his time there. So, I guess they would have an evacuation plan, etc,etc...just was kinda hoping someone on here might have heard something from someone who was nearer and might know more. I sent him an email but certainly wasn't surprised I didn't receive a response....it's terrible there, from what I read.
