My boyfriend noticed last night the chickens seem to have mites (I don't go in the coop as my hay allergy wins that battle) . and with their coop being so close to the ducks we were wondering if we can use that spray on the ducks also without hurting them.

We feel so bad for the poor chickens, but want to put an end to it before it gets worse and spreads!

I use Poultry Protector buy it by the gallons. I have used it on both ducks and chickens. Mix it at the highest strength to get rid of the mites. you'll have to treat bedding walls and all cracks as mites hide during the day light hrs. then retreat in 10 days to kill all eggs that hatch. you can also use Epernix Pour on on your flock then treat the building etc with the poultry protector, poultry dust or Permirthern[sp] premises spray. I just went through this in July. Yuck

Thanks! Your advice is amazing! will this also work with our turkeys? I forgot their cage is right next to them also. *bad mom moment*

Well I don't have Turkeys but on my gallon bottle it shows a pic of a turkey, and it is a non toxic all-natural product so i'd say it is safe to use as long as you follow directions, it does say not to spray birds in the face or around their eyes. Most of the time ducks/geese can be parasite free if given bath water but if you have an infestation i would treat them all and especially their coops/house and bedding.
