Gotta get more hatching eggs then, to be on the safe side right?

Yes looks like a little roo so I'd hatch more eggs

show us your other 2 though, one might be a girl, I did the same as you with 6 eggs only got one survivor, turned out to be a roo

they were naturally brooded by my broody RIR but she smothered/crushed them as they hatched, I've given up on the brown egg layers and hatched some mutts instead!

Oh, sorry to hear about that bad hatch
I will catch a few more pics of the rest today but they look very much the same for me. I have been contacting breeders all morning without any success yet to get more hatching eggs. I think I have got a hen coming broody so that would be just perfect. Will try for 18 this time (post eggs you see) and give the hen 4 and rest in the incubator. I havent gived up the hope to have a few very dark brown eggs next year

Added a few pics. For my maran-untrained eyes they all look more or less the same and none have so small or colorless comb as the pullets above really.

Arghh... Anyway, I believe I found a breeder with copper blue marans, those are very pretty imo so I guess something good will come out of it

These are pictures of my 2 chicks at 4 weeks old, 1 of them now starting to get a little bit of copper through its feathers on the back. Let me know what you think!!

Roos or hens? they regularly jump up and fight with each other since they were about 2 weeks old.:/

if you're in Arizona I know several breeders one in Tucson and then another that has actual hatching eggs.

Thanks but I live in Norway actually ;-) I now have 4 gorgeous maran ladies who lays 4 big dark brown eggs for me everyday
