Maran Color Question

I'm new to the Marans and have 12. I have 2 BCMarans and the rest were supposed to be a mix of whites and wheatons......I cant tell, they look all white to me....and what are the gray ones?

If I had to guess I would say that your yellow one are your whites, and your gray ones are your wheatens. They sure are pretty. Take a look at the wings. My Marans chicks all look the same to me. I have Cuckoo and BC, and when they hatched I couldn't tell them apart, but the BCM are now getting copper on their wings and they are 8 days old. I just love Marans. They are such beautiful birds!

Is it possible that the gray ones are splash or blue then? Or is there a blue wheaten? I have Silver Cuckoo, Cuckoo, and BCM, so I don't know what the other colors look like as chicks. Try asking in the Breed area of BYC and see if someone there can tell you. The grays do look more tan in the pictures to me. They are certainly very beautiful.

Thanks Chicken china mom! They are kinda pretty eventhough they are mystery chicks. Hopefully they are a pair and not 2 males!Be my luck that they are though
