Maran? Hen or rooster

Pretty sure its a rooster. Seems to be crowing. My husband saw it try to mount one of our hens, but wanted some other opinions. It has a floppy comb, it has some "lacy" like saddle/tail feathers.

He is a rooster and unless the color on your camera is off he is not a marans. They should have pinkish white legs yours appear to have yellow. And it wont let me enlarge the picture either

Being able to enlarge the pic would sure help. I agree he looks like a mixed breed rooster. That dark coloring means he only had one barred parent, the floppy/funky comb says mixed ancestry, as does the red leakage on the hackle feathers.

Mixed rooster, possibly with some Easter Egger in him.
