Marans~ boys or girls?

OMG they look like mine and I’m also confused what they are. They are approx same age. Will post pictures and we can compare....

I'm pretty positive chick 1 and 3 are my hens... maybe #2 but I'm not hoping too much at this point. Post your photos and we can compare

She is about 9 weeks now, and yes I do name them, but I don’t have a name for mine yet.

These are my pictures. 1st and 2nd photo is the same chick. I always thought it is a boy and now I wonder if it is a girl? The third picture I believe are two cockerels and the white one must be a girl.... what do you think?

Yes I hope so. Please keep me posted about yours. I will upload some more photos in a weeks time to see how they develop.

I appreciate everyone’s help. I’m pretty new to this and this is my first batch of straight run chick... hopefully these pics are better

My 5 Marans are als my ever very first batch and 5 out of 6 have hatched. I love them so much!! Reading everything I can find on Marans...

@Anvaha I have 5 but 3 are definitely boys so I'll only be keeping 2. I can't have roos... How many girls do you think you've ended up with?

I love the breed too! How fun to hatch them. I'd like to try that sometime. My kids would love it too.

I have 7 different breeds so I can get a variety of colored eggs.

I think I have 2 girls for sure, a white splash one and a black one.
The brown one is a cockerel for sure and another blue one looks like a boy as well and then I have one which everybody on this forum believes it is a girl.
But behaviour suggests a boy.
Will see.
Hatching them was such a good experience. They follow me around everywhere and want to be hold and cuddled all the time....
