I gather the most likely cause for her sudden soft/thin, pale, calcium-deposit-covered shells is due to an infection. She was attacked by a fox a few days prior to the first soft egg.

She was also laying an egg a day, and laid two the first soft-shelled day.

They are back to a normal thickness, but still covered with calcium deposits and pale.

So questions are this: Can I help her? And do I need to throw out her thin-shelled eggs rather than feeding them back to the hens?

Give her time.
If the funky eggs continue, post some pics of them.
