Marans temperament? (MPC?)

I had several varieties of Marans in the past. I currently raise mainly oriental gamefowl. I do keep a few wyandottes for eggs. In terms of intra male aggression, some strains of Marans that I had ranked right up there with the gamefowl. Nasty birds, would not quit. That doesn't necessarily mean that they will be bad towards people, and those weren't. In fact, some of the friendliest birds you will find are the oriental games, (who hate each other). Have had oriental game roosters here that were subjected to dressing up in clothes and pushed around in a stroller, hand fed, and you name it, never offer to shuffle at a person. That is mainly because they have been selected to not be human aggressive for hundreds or maybe thousands of years, whereas with commercial or fancy breeds of poultry it has not really been a concern.

I have my first Marans coming in from MPC too in march. I ordered Blue Splash. They are just so unusual looking. Glad to hear the roosters aren't too much of a problem.
