I just have to laugh. I knew they had too much red but I did not realize it was that bad. Good to know. And that is exactly what I needed to know, thank you.

Well I have to work with what I have. I guess I get to cull, cull, cull. The girls have so little red that maybe somewhere it may balance out. At least until I have better stock to work with. It is hard to understand how with as many eggs as I have bought, hatched from at least 7 different breeders, that I don't have better stock than this. Sad.

I have more eggs that I am hoping will hatch from a very good breeder. Unfortunately the PO lost them for almost a week. Of all the eggs to lose... so they are almost 10 days old. Wish me luck

90 degree weather? Did they hatch early? Just kidding. You must have been very frustrated. I felt so bad for the seller. She did such a great job packing and shipping and sending extras and then the PO strikes. Thanks for the encouragment and I am babying the little darlings as I post.

I think they look Beautiful.. Remember that a Marans egg can darken as it lays>>Mine started at a beautiful terracotta color. They lay 8/9's regularly so as pullets just laying the color is lovely..Hope you have fun enjoying all your beautiful colored eggs..

I also told you in a private pm that my girls were in full molt and I would post them when they start to lay..The egg pics are from first egg pullet pics!!!! Check your pm's!!!

I was going to say I like the second best too. If your females have the leg feathering, then I'd use him.

Couldn't help myself and threw these in the 'bator yesterday! Wish me luck and cross your fingers for NO POWER OUTAGES between now and Dec. 11th!

Ok so im interested in getting the Cuckoo/ Silver Creel Marans but I have not seen many does anyone have pics of their birds and their eggs?
