THAT IS ADORABLE!!!! I love kids at that age.. . They are so fun to play with!!! and they love chickens!!! Oh and nice birds!!! (and nice ribbon... can I pet it!! he he)

Thanks! We are both pretty fowl-addicted now! LOL It all began with 4H......lol They started laying a month ago and went from 4's to now 6's. I'll have to get some pics of them too. I'd heard they were not good layers, but we get an egg from each one every 30 hours without fail. I even cut scratch into their layer pellets to try and slow them down.

Yep...Blue Copper and Splash are my favs and I keep the Black Coppers for the breeding program and to help keep the blue more crisp and clearer and also for egg color. I hatch them out all of the time.....it's an addiction that I never want to get help for!

I raise the humidity at lockdown from 40% to about 50% or 55%, many peeps raise the humidity even higher for their Marans but this is what works for me.
