Well drat... My bayhorsebonne eggs are going to be a bust due to a bad hygrometer... but alas... I have ordered again..

We just have to have a backup plan for the one little roo that hatched... Our club is hanging a big hat on the little fella. So we broke down and did the dirty deed... We ordered more Donna eggies... My kids are soo excited to show her eggs again at fair... I can't risk taking our adult birds w/o a backup plan...

Well now it is up to the Cree eggies!!!

Different hygrometer

I had just bought the one that failed.. It was brand new.. I am taking it back to the store and complaining... boy am I complaining about this!!! AAAAACKKKKK

Hey guys! I just bought 4 cuckoo Marans chicks a week ago and have been bitten by the Marans bug. Sooooooooooooo last night I oredered a dozen eggs from Bayhorsebonne for some Black Coppers. I will be incubating with a Hovabator Genesis & turner. Do any of you have some tricks or advice specific to Marans eggs?

Kathyinmo just said it.. New hygrometer each time.. although that didn't work for me.. mine was new.. No the 1588 is a spectacular hatcher.. I usually run w/o a hygrometer and just mist my eggs with a spray bottle every 3 days.. that seems to work for me... I was so intent on the hatch I went and bought one and DANG.... Now back to the drawing board..I bet BHB hasn't done this much business ever!!! Ha ha ha... GO DONNA!!! rah rah
