Here are the photos of my 1st and today is 2nd Marans eggs. They seem a bit lighter in pic.

Yesterdays eggs the Marans on left RIR on the right

Todays eggs Buff Orp on left Marans on right

Both yesterdays on left and today on right Marans

I am in hopes they keep getting darker

as I said They look lighter in the photos

I think they will get darker. How much darker, time will tell. I have heard that they can really change color from one year to the next also.

Heres a pic of my very first maran eggs...I am very excited about hatching these little gems.

Come on 1 roo and 7 pullets...

Just put them in the bator last night...day after x-mas chicks.
