Marans Thread for Posting Pics of Your Eggs, Chicks and Chickens

I had four chicks hatch on August 6. They were Black Copper Marans, but one isn't black. Has anyone seen anything like this chick before.

me too! And when they are really young and have narcolepsy! But they are ALL narcoleptic at the same time

I observed my two's feet-the one with the larger comb does have murky gray and the one with the smaller comb/pullet pose has darker, blacker feet... how neat if you've found a way to help sex them early!

I personally don't think the fuzzy-butt stage lasts long enough. I really enjoy them when they are tiny like this
