I hope so too Kathy. I know my two boys are super sweet, and I have Blue Wheaten and Black Tailed Buff.

Today I got three more cull marans from Will Marrow to round out my flock and to make pretty olive eggers! These girls will be crossed with my nice black ameraucana cockeral. They are blue and blue copper and one black copper with yellow foot pads. I also have three other black copper hens and two wellsummers that will mate with him.

I think its a wind egg. It was almost invisible next to the normal eggs

Very pretty eggs. I love the tiny one. I save all of mine - just set them aside and let them dry out naturally and then use them in arrangements and little bird nest decorations. Everyone always asks "are those chicken eggs?????"

I went and took a look at my BCM pullets and they have dark eyes. The Roos have orangish eyes. Is this a problem?

They're supposed to have the red-orange eyes. While trying to sort the Marans out, everything isn't going to be as good as one might hope. I have a few females with dark eyes who otherwise have nice type, lovely eggs & nice colour; I only choose males with correct colour eyes.​
