I have Wheaten babies!

I had 3 hatch yesterday, but so far no other signs of life.

Of course I'm giving them more time, but these 3 came out clean as a whistle, strong and alert, and one right after the other, so I don't think there was any problem at all with the incubation. The rest may be duds from shipping issues. I'll give them until tomorrow night at least. I'd candle them, but they're so dark and my batteries are about gone.

These are from Davis and Teasdale lines. Does anyone have any information on Teasdale lines? I've heard they were originally imported, and that's all I've heard.

Keep keeping your fingers crossed everybody!!! You can uncross them to type and go to the restroom but that's it, ok????

dwarfing happens in marans not a lot but it does apper from time to time

I thought that was you who wrote that Kathy! Yes dwarf would be the term for this chick. It is healthy though.

I don't think so. I've had dwarf Silkies, and those are already bantams. I've hatched three all from the same female, and I won't be using her again. All three died at different ages, but all before they were 5 months old....no noticable issues, injuries or illness, just died overnight.
