Is there a difference in Blue Marans and Blue Black Copper Marans? I would think so but just want to be sure.

Sometimes a bird may look black and not be a true black. For Example I have a rooster that was suppose to be a Black Copper........well long story short, he's blue just a very very dark blue. Blues can vary in shades alot.

Here is my "suppose to be" Black Copper roo at 4 mos old, notice how black he appeared?

Here he is a few months later...notice the difference? Also after test breeding him to my Black Copper hens and getting blue babies out of the deal pretty much sealed it up for me.
