thanks so much for showing the eggs ,,,i was wondering do u have any pictures of the birds that produced them
i hardly ever see pictures of grown wheaten birds posted, probubly because they are one of the least popular it seems balck and blue copper are the rage for most people .
im just working with the wheaten , i have around 45 chicks now rangeing from 1 day to 3 months old and a few adults worth keeping so looking at other people birds (wheatens) sparks my interest and i can see what to shoot for .thanks for your post
Really? Gosh, I thought wheatens were more popular. The cock's have got to be stunning with the beetle-green black tails, the contrasting truly gold hackles against the dark breast and all....I thought they looked like a sunset against a darked green forest. Really the ultimate in color I would think.
Okay, here's Dino. I wish I could have gotten a picture of him and the newest blue rock babies sleeping. They all pile on top of him. Anyway, here he is!
The end....
I couldnt get a real good picture of his legs, but they go all different ways. My splash rock stands like a bulldog. This guy's legs go every which way. Will he grow out of that? He towers over my blue rocks already.
from what i read most post are about the black and blue . i agree with you 100 percent on the wheatens . in my flock i would like to improve the color of egg
and work on the comb , i have hens with great big combs and ones with small ones and things like that generations down the road

Did you hear that BayHorseBonnie is selling everything? Im in shock. Im talking with her now about getting some hens but she wants some roos to go with the hens.
I have one pen of hers and one area of Wade Jeane and one for Bev Davis.
I got some of my Wade Jeane from Crees last year very nice birds and nice color eggs also but with the are some from BC also nice birds.
Zygoatlady.. Yeah... you want to share some shipping etc... Are you going to pick up any...I do need a roo
Oh and don't you dare miss out on a chance to get a roo... She has one of the only closed flocks... She is a top of the line thinker... Her flock has been closed since day one.... If you don't use her roo you are shooting yourself in the foot so to speak...(IMHO)... I am definetly wanting in on this!! I have some of hers in the bator.. anyone else in this area want to divvy up her flock???? Oh and is your Cree a closed flock... I need a couple eggie/babies... etc.

I'll have to get it tomorrow. I thought she was a she because she had a big red comb and thick legs. She laid her first really dark egg the other day.
