geebs - PICTURES. I do indeed love Lisa and Gary!! The last Wheaties I got from them, they only charged us half for the birds because of our poor hatch rate from the previous Wheatie eggs we got from them. Great people.

Well, I learned to vent sex today! I hope I did it right, and I hope it will come in great handy (I know lots of customers want SEXED pullets

) - I found out that I have two boys from Wynette's Marans batch. So, I marked them, and let's see if I'm right in 2-4 weeks.

Next up to incubate. . . TOLBUNT POLISH EGGS!!!

Yeah.... they are sure generous that is for sure... They threw in a couple dozen eggs from the hens that they had collected... Some may or may not be fertile etc.. but... If I get one chick from it... It was a free chick and they are sooooo nice to be that generous!!! I will take pix of the eggs.... wowowow they are sure nice.

I had a long road trip today too - I picked up 4 BCM adults from bayhorsebonnie - tomorrow when I get them settled I will post pics.

I have some Bayhorse bonne's due this next weekend...Not the same as picking them up in person.... congrats on your road trip... You lucky dog.... We are both really lucky... I am waiting for the pics

I think that this will be one of my last Marans hatches for the year (I'm only going to toss in the darkest ones).....then I should probably work on my other birds.

Just for color comparison the lighter eggs are from some of my older blues and splash that I don't use for breeding they are just layers.

I have a question on purity
I hatched some BCM and there is a yellow chick in the batch
Does this mean what I got is not pure or is this one of the wheatons or what
I need to know before I make any comments to the seller about what I ended up with
They are supposed to be Bev Davis pure line
