March 13th 2016 Hatch-A-long

We will be putting eggs in the incubator on Feb 21st to hatch on March 13Th. The eggs are from our chickens. We are hoping to hatch out some blue Orpingtons. Lets encourage and help each other out.

I am setting a dozen mixed OE, EE, and CE and then 4 Quail d'Anvers eggs that my daughter's hen has been laying (we've checked fertility and Rocky is definitely doing his job!).

Anybody can join in. The more the merrier. We was in on the Valentine hatch and had only one make it. So gonna try again.

Yep. My first hatch didn't go so well...only 6 out of 35 and then one died afterward

I put ours in the incubator about an hour ago. I put 33 eggs in. Hoping for the best.

Picked up my eggs today (locally so they didn't go through rough shipping) and couldn't wait so they went in.

16 mix of EE, OE, and CE.

This is going to be the longest 21 days EVER.

Ooo ooo ooo pick me! I put 10 maran (blue/black/splash) eggs in and 30 silkie eggs in Feb 20th. Due March 12th. This is my second hatch. I had an LG that I set 12 (shipped) blue splash bearded silkies and 7 olive Eggers in a month and a half ago. Ended up having 5 of each hatch. The Temps were all over the place the whole time. I set it up for this batch but the Temps were so wonky I returned it and ordered a hovabator 1588. It seems to be doing great and the kids love the huge window. How is it 21 days seems so short but gets over so fast lol. I have 2 goats due tomorrow and Wednesday so lots of babies around here
