March 2023 hatch-a-long

Pics
Grab them at 8 tomorrow and go straight to work from there and unpack at work (could you do that?) I could see retail or other jobs not working thst way, but office jobs or a place with an employee break room (or an understanding boss’s office maybe as a safe storage spot?) Bring a couple cartons to store them in and put them in a box so no one sees them, lol.

Just trying to help, hope I’m not infringing too much!
I work at Walmart so nope won't work. :( Thankfully I have VERY understanding bosses so I can just let them know that I won't be in early so I have time to run to PO and unbox them. But then I would have to set them at like 9pm on Fri or maybe 2pm so not much time to sit...... UGH Not sure what to do as far as setting them if they come in tomorrow and NOT today....... Fingers crossed they come in during the day today so I can go after work.

Fingers crossed!! 🤞 I hope they come in today

Still no update... Not that I am watching it like a hawk and getting excited anytime I get a text since I have it set to get a text anytime it updates. Lol
I feel a tiny bit of your stress from remembering times I've been waiting 🤞 you can get them soon!

I put my last 6 eggs in the incubator this morning, the air cells looked pretty good! Have them sat upright today even though I bought a new incubator for this hatch that has autoturn, still rotating them gently by hand 😬 I will put the autoturn bits in tomorrow evening after the first eggs have had a little more time upright.

For the first time I weighed these eggs when I got them so will actually track to see if they are losing weight. The room I hatch in has pretty high humidity naturally so haven't added any extra water yet.

praying they come in tomorrow so I can grab them in the morning. Then I need to make a decision........ I have read lots that quite a few don't really let them rest before starting them, others do etc. I won't be home basically the whole day if I set them on Sat (so not around on day 21)....... so I would REALLY like to set them tomorrow....... now to decide if I set them right away in egg cartons so they are in the incubator to rest pointy side down and don't turn the first 24 hrs so they basically "rest" in the incubator........ Or let them rest on the counter from (hopefully) around 8:30-2:30 but then I would have to lay them in the incubator since I don't have much time home then to put them in the egg cartons......... Or wait and let them rest till around 10pm then I can either do egg cartons or lay them down........ BUT if I wait till 10pm there is a chance I will miss a lot hatching overnight........

Could you set up the egg cartonholders upright in your incubator tonight, and put the eggs in upright after work for a day or so? Then start the turner once they’ve been vertical for 24 hours?
