they are so cute!!!!!!!!!! What size bands are those? I had got some last year (think med) and they fell right off the chicks so got small this year and hope they fit!1/4 inch orthodontic bands.

1/4 inch orthodontic bands. I'm sure in a week or two I'll have to replace with small zip ties. If they don't all look distinctly different by then that is.

I've got 12 so far!! I'll wait another day or two before I call it good on the remaining eggs. Eleven are in the brooder, one more just hatched an hour or so ago. I'll try to take pictures tomorrow. All healthy with no issues!!!

I sure hope mine look different quick! haahaa!!!!!! since I need to find where I put the med ones from last year since I figured I wasn't hatching more so just stored them away somewhere..... and I don't want to buy more. LOL

I will have 2 colors of Brahma's ( Lavender and black golden laced blue). so hoping they look different. Then I have some from my splash girls, and a couple EE/BYM.

Ive got 2 more eggs in the incubator, one looks like a quitter (day 14-16?) and the other one looks like it's going to hatch soon.

are you going to try to set them for the Easter hatch-a-long? or is that too far off for you? I have eggs shipping tomorrow that I will hopefully get Thurs or Fri and will set them on Sat or Sun (depending on when these finish hatching since I am gone from about 8:30am on Sat till about 3-5pm and will need to clean the incubator after chicks hatch and I remove them before I can set more! Yikes. LOL

My hatch is officially done! 25 new babies! I cleaned out the incubator (& bought a second…tee-hee!) and will set another bunch on Fri or Sat (or both!) New bator is supposed to arrive Fri, so i May wait til Sat for that group so I can run it for a few hours.

I think the hatch a long allows a few days on either side…if you can wait til Thurs that should be close enough! But don’t risk your eggs, just do what’s best for you!
