I set on 3/19, so I’m just about the same! Hatch due 3/12!

Okay, trying to figure out my day count.. if I set late on a Saturday night, and it's now a week later on Sunday, am I day 7 or 8?

I always get stuck on this and I think the day after setting them is day 1, as in the end of the first 24 hours. Ultimately, they start pipping a day or two early and keep hatching at least until day 22 so I look at it more like how we consider human due dates.

Marked my air cells after weighing the eggs. My notes must be off because from the day 0 to today's day eight weight I have one of the eggs as having lost 20% (all the rest are 5-6%). The air cell doesn't scream problems to my untrained eye though. The white egg in center.

I’ve hatched small, pointy eggs from my cemanis. They were fine

My Cemani eggs aren’t pointy but I am hatching Pavlovskaya eggs that are this way. Every single one is. I guess we will see how well they do but I checked with someone else I knew that had them and she confirmed that is typically the shape she gets. Maybe it just depends on the breed and the chick if they survive

Thank you! My first 15 had an accident with my 2 year old () and only 4 went into lockdown. I have one that hatched and one trying to come on out. I’m not sure about the other 2 yet. I’m hoping to have a good hatch in a about 19 days…

Ok, I’m in! I’ve got 21 eggs in from EE, RIR, BO, BP, CL, and AC, all pullet eggs. Due on National Poultry Day!
