Okay have 9 in my little incubator I have two Janoel the little one holds 9 big eggs.
4 marans 5 blue. Mine are due like the 14th. 3 added 3 days later.

Had to pull another egg today that quit on Day 10.

Good news is I still have 28 in my 22 egg incubator lol.

Ooooo! Never thought of putting more in than incubator says. Any turning issues with that?

Sometimes they get stuck, so I hand turn all eggs at leasr 3 times a day regardless. Wasn’t expecting that many to be fertile!

I stacked a couple extras on my last (and very first) hatch haha
They were shipped eggs so I was kind of compensating for what I figured the hatch rate to be. Mine seemed to actually turn ok but needed adjustments sometimes. I wouldn’t have done it if I didn’t have an incubator with a fan either.

I had 9/14 hatch….google tells me this is a 64% hatch rate on shipped eggs (shipped from Winnipeg to Nova Scotia in January lol) so I feel like it went well!

I am on day 5. Trying to figure out when to take out the clears.... I took out 1 of mine today, and 1 shipped....... Normally I have no issues removing them on day 4 or 5 but this time I am worried that I have missed something. Not sure why..... LOL But I am so over hand turning them and have (now) 28 in my 22 egg incubator would be nice to get down to the 22 and pretty sure I can with clears but so worried I will pull something that had a chance (even though I haven't done it any other time in all my hatches when I pulled clears. LOL). thinking maybe tomorrow or Fri I will pull out the clears and think leaving in any ? ones I will be down to 22 since I believe I have 17 growing so still have spaces for 5 questionable ones.

@gimmie birdies I know you have been hatching at all different times...... do you brood them all together? I have a brooder I use inside for about a week then one in my coop that I use for another 5 weeks till I open it a bit to start integrating them with my flock (sometimes under)....... I am trying to decide if I should order more eggs (of the breeds that I don't have a good fertility rate this time) to come when these hatch since I will be doing another batch 2 days after these should hatch, But I don't really have another area to brood them so they would have to go in with the others that will be about 3 weeks older......

Last year I hatched once a mo for a few mo. but I got lucky and had a broodys for all but one hatch so only had 1 age group in the brooder, then the rest of the chicks were in the coop/run with their "mama"

I used the plastic mesh from cross stitching to make a egg-closure to separate my eggs

My eggs are set to Pip tomorrow! I candled them earlier today and all three are moving around, so fingers crossed. I have 3/7 eggs that made it to lockdown and seem okay to hatch. Not too bad really!
