Candled eggs under my broody. Think 4 are going. Checked a couple in the incubator and think I have a quitter.

I'm so glad there's still hope!!!

Absolutely! I was frantic, I thought the chick was going to die , but I let him/her dry off first, then put it in the plastic tub with the heat lamp in my bedroom, and after like a day it just sucked back up. It was scary, though.

I had this happen in my last hatch, but not that prominent. The umbilical cord was wrapped around the chicks foot in the egg, and when it hatched, it was trying to walk around, but was pulling the cord until I realized what was going on, then I cut it. It’s like a prolapsed anus I think, but it did go back inside by itself in the first day or so. The chick lived and is healthy. Good luck

Um... @Isadora says she asked around and they say it's an organ prolapse. I really, really, really don't want to cull her but I think I will have to. She's just standing in her little container with her beak on the edge looking like she has the runs. Poor little one.

Poor pullet!! I hope I don't lose any of my pullets because I want eggs.

The second one seems fine, I'm going to leave her in overnight. It has not gone back in any, so I will have to cull her but I am going to give her one, last, chance. Wish me fortune. All I need is a miracle.
