debiraymond: Thanks for mentioning that! It's a big world out there, but on the BYC it's easy to make new friends with others that share our love for chickens.
We all want to encourage everyone to say hello to each other & share questions & ideas. There are a ton of really nice people posting here & besides where else can you find someone to share all of your chicken tales with, that actually wants to hear about it all. It sure takes the pressure off of my sweet hubby too.
I can assure you all that every time I read a post, I can relate to & feel what's going on. We all can, cause we've been there or are experiencing the same thing now or have been wondering about it. So many times, I've read something & say to myself, "hey, that's exactly what I was thinking." We do have fun on the BYC! So, go ahead, reach out & talk to each other. Thanks to all of you who have replied to questions & comments, it's appreciated; keep it coming. All of the pics have been really great too!
There is so much happening here with pips & hatching, it's hard to keep up. How fun! I wish I had more time to hang out here, it's so entertaining, between work & busy weekends. It was sunny today with no rain here in Southern Oregon, so I spent the whole day preping the garden, planting some early seeds, filling new planter beds, & visiting with the chickens while raking out spots in the chicken yard. They were quite the comedians today, getting attention every way they could. One of my favorite hens, Pedo, kept flying up on top of the exterior part of the nest boxes, doing the "I'm gonna lay an egg up here on the flat outside wood" song to tease me. I'm exhausted but smiling from the fun & productive day!!!! So, glad I took a moment to check on this thread. It's snore time now & the last turning of the incubator eggs (gotta get me a turner someday). Will be back tomorrow!
Happy hatching everyone!
