So one of my babies born this morning has a leg that's not working right...it's twisting backwards when he tries to walk . Any ideas? I'll try to get pictures on later.

Ebear82, this may also be a slipped tendon also known as perosis. We had a little one with this in our last hatch at the end of Feb. If this is what your's has, it occurs around the hock or the middle of the leg, where the tendon can't hold the bottom of the leg correctly. We researched this online and we held the leg straight as it should be and wrapped it in vet tape all week and he is doing much better. We will probably take the wrap off tomorrow and see how he does.

I just put a crumpled up washcloth in the corner & put the chick into one of the hollows. They seem more content, cozy & comfortable this way & can get some of the well needed sleep that they need.
