March Hatch-A-Long.( How is it gettting here so quick ? LOL )

 Midnight day 21 started for my 14 Rhodebars that made it to lockdown.  By 9pm yesterday we had 2 out . 1 cockerel and one pullet.  By 1.30am I was up to 6, 4 am  I had 8 out, by 5.45 am 9.  Now I have 11 and the remaining 3 eggs are pipped and pushed around by the others.  Me sleeping? What's sleep? Who can sleep when there is a peeping incubator on the nightstand.
  I'll post some pics later.  I have to catch up on some zzz's

The nightstand...that's where I should have set my incubator up! Mine go into lockdown tonight, think I could risk moving the whole setup? Maybe not. But definitely moving it for the next round - great idea! Pics of the peepers after your nap?

Lol! Mine's on my nightstand too!! It was the only room where I could lock out the cat but the nightstand was the most constant temp. I bet I'll be up all night once there is peeping too.

Here is my first bantam cochin hatched today! I love them!

I love love the bantam cochins too..they are one of my favorite bantams. This one is soo cute. Nice feathering going on the feet too.

I have some NN's going into lock down tomorrow. Only 4 are making it to lock down. Have bought twice from this guy now recently. Not doing too well with his eggs..will have to find some others. Thing is, his have the nice bow tie, and beard, and...I want a mottled or white..he has both. I can just cross my finger that I will get both in these 4..and that they are all girls. Oh yeah...

Just locked down the quail!!!! Didn't bother candling again, so will just have to see how many of the 51 actually hatch. Saw a couple of eggs rocking, but they aren't due till Sunday/Monday. After this it's on to the Easter Hatch-A-Long for the olive eggers (some frizzled!)

The first has hatched. Could be pure bresse or bresse cross.

I just caught sight of one of my eggs wobbling. Only day 18, so right on schedule!

It's white bresse crossed with ??? We are still trying to figure out who the daddy is because it has feathered legs but is mostly white. We're thinking OE roo. Wasn't my egg so not sure.

Update: I've candled my booted bantam eggs after 3 days of incubation and all but 2 are showing veins! And my six little bantam chicks are nice and healthy
