I went to bed with 9-10 pips
here is what I woke up to:

Ok first hatch is done.
set 29 eggs
10 clear
2 blood rings
4 died without hatching
total of 2 BBS Orps, 11 BR 1 hatched today as a late hatch not sure he's going to make it.


Now for 2nd hatch which is do for lock down on March 14 set 29 eggs with not 1 clear. I am going to use 2 incubators and split hatch in half.

I am done with march hatch numer 1 12 black coppers set. 3 live chicks,2 quitters at maybe 15 to 17 days, 1 dead pipped air cell, 6 clear.
8 blue slash 3 live 1 quitter,4 clear. These were both shipped eggs.
My wellies I picked up. 12 set 3 live chicks,2 quitters at 16 to 18 1 clear 6 dead 5 pipped air cell, i was in wrong postion.
I am trowing all digital hygrometer out. and putting in wet bulbs. Temps are fine on digital, but I am am not happy with digital hygrometer. My temps were spot on. these all hatched with in 2 hrs on one another, except 1 early bird. I jsut think I have to high of humidity at hatching, even though the hygrometer ay 58 . When I turned my fan off for a minute, thinking the fan was mesing with my hatch, my window fogged up. I had couple chicks get stuck and thought i was to dry, but think I was still to wet at the end.
We will try a dry bulb hygometer. I know my dry bulb therms are accurate, so am going to put wicks on and do the conversion. I just thought the digitals would work. I have the temp thing working, but have to believe that my humidity is out of wack at the end. I have more set in another bator on day 8 and day 10, and eggs on the way to reload this bator. I will move my heat soruce to the middle of the long side instead of the short side, and am going to turn my fan over, place a diffuser on it and slow down the speed. I will get this deal figured out. I would post some pics if I knew how.

Update: 7 in the Brooder, Incubator has 2 more out, 5 pipped, and 9 eggs not doing much yet.

Update march 07 hatch:
3 out of 27 has pipped. 1 mutt bantam and 2 blue CM's.
