I have another Marans pipping. Yeah I'm so excited to at least be getting 2 out of my shipped eggs. I dont know what my deal is with shipped eggs and the troubles I've been having with them. When I candled on day 18 I had 1/2 of the 15 with either detached cells or they were just clear. But I was excited that my faverolles and EE's are hatching. I have an EE that appears to be lavender. Heres a pic of it, its still a bit wet.

I just had another hatch. Looks like I was a day off on my calculations. I have a feeling that I'm going to have a popcorn peeping night and I'll be going to work in the morning like a zombie.

I know thats what I did this morning except they asked for 2 volunteers to go home early and I was all about it. So I got to watch my babies hatching.
Chicky Tock I have one cuckoo Marans hatched and one more pipped and working on it. Most of EE's were clear. One of Orp/EE quit and one in bator. 2 of the Marans were also clear. But my Faverolles are popping like popcorn only have one more of my favs I'm waiting on.

My first chick is here!!! She/he is a CMXEE, she is black with a silver smudge on the top of her head and has green legs with the tips of her toes white! Does that mean, if it's a she, that she could be an olive egger?

After all of this chatter with zips and pips and cheep and very cute pics....I CAN'T wait for my little fluffs.....

I didn't candle, b/c quite frankly...I don't know what I'm doing... and I don't want to throw anything away....but saying that i'm always sticking my nose in there and taking a whiff....just to make sure nothing stinks....
