Thank you all for helping me! Means a lot. I feel good to know that she is not in any pain anymore and can what all the meal worms possible! I definitely want another girl but just one... ok maybe 2. buff brahma and buff orpington. Those are my favorite breeds. They are dual purpose but produce an okay amount of eggs and have amazing temperament. For eggs I would say another leghorn.

I love brahmas! I have 3 black stars that are about 2 1/2. My leghorn never got along with them hahaha. Sweet girl. Is it ok just to get one chick or get them in pairs. I like to keep the numbers low. Makes me feel more connected

You should always add at least two. The new ones tend to get picked on with just one.

Can you refer me to a page that talks about adding new chickens to an existing flock? And do you know a page that talks about the different breeds of chickens?
