mareks and meal worms

i went to a site (www.avianweb.com) and was reading about marek's and it says mealworms and the darkling beetles can cause mareks. i thiink i;ve also read this on some other sites. my concern, i have been giving my chicks these mealworms and i've recently lost several due to mareks. anyone else know anything about this ????????

I fed mealworms to my little peachick and he came down with marek's symptoms the next day. I swear it was the mealworms. We ended up having to put him down. RIP little pea chick.

I feed mealworms almost daily sometimes, sometimes weekly, I raise them myself and also buy dried. Never had an issue.
