Hi all! I've been doing a bunch of reading on the Mareks vaccine. There is so much stuff out there about the vaccine. Since our chicks will be coming from the feed stores nearby (SS and TSC), I'm not sure if they've been vaccinated for Mareks or not. I need to ask this week when we go, or at least see what hatchery they were shipped from and ask them.
We'd like to vaccinate for it... but my main question is will it work for chicks older than 1 day old? I think the ones at the feed stores are several days up to a week old. Seems like there are varying things out there about whether or not to vaccinate in older chicks.
We'd like to give them the best chance against it. My mind is spinning from everything I've been reading!
