My daughter has three indoor seramas she got in December. Yesterday she noticed her pullet was not as perky as normal and I cannot find anything other than that wrong. Today we noticed her cockerel was not up walking around. I have no idea what is going on and I am worried we could be seeing mareks or something?
Symptoms:

The pullet:: Slightly hunched, less active, still eating and drinking. No abnormal poops. comb color is good.

The rooster:: Cannot rise from a laying position. When I pick up the rooster his legs stay in the laying down position, after I gently straighten them he can stand and walk well. Still eating and drinking. No abnormal poops. Not hunched up. Comb color is good.

poops are light to medium dark brown and firm. I cannot say for sure that they have never been outside.

just to rule out anything else, check their crops, how do they feel? also check inside their beaks for anything unusual. The symptoms are slightly vague so if there is a correlation between the two unwell birds it could be anything from a virus to a bacterial infection.

pullet: crop is empty and flat, inside of her mouth is clear and appears to be a uniform pink color

cockerel: I can feel the food in his crop that he just ate firm and grainy, mouth clear and uniform pink color

I was told they had been wormed but I am going to worm them again right now.

Ok we can rule most likely rule out crop issues. Could be mareks. I am not too experienced with mareks so I will not give you any advice as I wouldnt want to say something wrong. I will keep an eye on the thread, make sure to give any updates if other symptoms arise, I am sure someone else will pitch in.
As whatever they have develops, keep an eye on their vents, and between feathers(for mites or lice)
Also keep an eye on the beak and eyes for signs of something respitory.
see if they are still laying.
I really hope this isnt mareks.. So it's good to rule anything else out.
I remember now reading about someone who 'treated' it in her chickens. I will post the link here, read lower in the thread and you can see what the poster said worked for her after thorough research.

Hope this helps

I'm not even sure if their symptoms are even related to each other. Very frustrating. I dewormed them again with ivermectin. I started electrolytes in their water. Poly-vi-sol w/o iron twice a day. Selenium once a day. Also feed additive that has healthy oils and extra vitamin e. And then I'll wait and see what develops.
