When I checked the incubator this morning, I had an external pip! I removed the turner and expecting it to hatch by morning. I don’t have all my brooder stuff here yet, so I’ll have to grab everything tomorrow during critter check and get a temporary setup.

I managed to get my brooder setup and this little guy moved in...... looks possible that he won't be alone for long! More looking to hatch in next 24 hours.View attachment 3483708
Puppy pads are too slippery for calls 😳🙈 I put down some grippy pad today. #2 is hatching! I assure him he wouldn’t be alone after tomorrow 😉😉

It’s hatch weekend

I saw movement when candling on Thursday so I added the emergency air hole. Last night saw movement so left alone. This morning I see faint Pips. And on both eggs!!! Meanwhile some turkeys are hatching around them. Perhaps the ruckus will encourage them.

Just waiting…. :pop

Are there any signs that would require help? Or a certain amount of time to wait? Since I put the eggs against the side, I can candle without touching eggs or opening incubator. Day 28 is Monday so I’m guessing I shouldn’t do any assistance until after that. I’m so glad they pipped on their own. Hoping they can also finish on their own.

Call duck Hatch update : Day 26

This afternoon evening I’m seeing bumps /pips in a line. It would possibly be zipping if it actually broke through the shell.

Should I peel a bit of the shell off to peek or continue watching from the outside? (Internal pip was noticed Thurs night. Small air hole added then)
