Do you clip yours so that they don't fly off or do they just stay since you have had them for a so long?
The new pair is clipped. Once they molt I will not clip again, though. They have integrated with my OG flock that is used to me and quite tame. All those girls are flighted.

Thanks, I wasn't sure if I should clip my little drakes again or not. Whenever I see one fly out of the pen to get to the green area that is fenced while I am cleaning and feeding I clip them out of fear of them going over the 6' fence. So far I have not had to do my one Muscovy again and they all seem happy but I have my back to them while doing my chores and I did not want any flying out since my neighbor has large dogs and is close to our house. I appreciate you letting me know.

I think for your setup, you're wise to clip. My pen is completely enclosed. They do fly in it a bit, but they love to fly out when I let them out.

Thanks. I have heard of people losing the Call Ducks before and I was not sure exactly how much they are really bonded with the rest of the flock. They all get along just fine but I still don't know if they will stay put after their first molt. I appreciate your answer since I do not know much about their nature.

Rona is still filling out from her molt, but the quack pack looks great!

My Harley is looking similar to Rona, almost done but still filling out in places. Now her sister Washburne is going hedgehog mode on me. :barnie Oh, and Sylvie the nakey booty queen is still pretty rough looking but her booty is no longer nakey at least. 🤭

Crash, meanwhile, is not molting, but holy crap if she keeps setting off in the coop where the sound can't at least dissipate some she's gonna rupture my eardrums! :th She wants the entire world to know that there's a call duck living here right now.
