Mare's Illegal Cute-ness (Call Duck) Chat Thread!!

I think you meant to tag @muddy75 .
I haven't had any ducks get bumblefoot on mulch, it doesn't mean it won't ever happen, but I haven't had it happen. :) I've been doing it for lots of years.
Thank you for your information, I am bad about trying to put my posts in the right place. I usually just put them below the photos that I see. I am glad to hear that yours have been good on the mulch. Mine seem to love the sand but it is a lot of work. Do you have to replace your mulch all of the time or do you just keep adding more? I appreciate your answer.

I just add more, it biodegrades on it's own so I just put more on top.
I put more in every other month in the spring/summer. In the winter the ground is frozen here and it doesn't push down as much, so maybe just once in the winter.

Thank you. Any special type of mulch? I have heard colored mulch is bad and we have a mulch store not far from here but I would have to get it in the bags so I am not sure what type is best for them.

Thanks for the info. Do you have it delivered by the truck load or would you also have to buy it by the bag? Just curious how many bags I would need instead of possibly just getting a truck load of it.
We just get it by the bag. I try to get it when it goes on sale but I'm going to have to get some this weekend and I didn't see any on sale yet..
One bag will basically have the coverage of mulch that is double the size of the bag, does that make sense?
If you know any tree trimmers you can contact them too and ask if they have any bulk mulch. They usually throw it away.
I want my own mulcher so bad.
