I seem to lose track of egg dates. Is it ok to write on eggs with a fine point sharpie?

Some do use sharpies. I prefer pencil.

Sharpies will penetrate IV bags if you write on them and don't use a label.

Pencil, that's a great idea, the sharpie made me a little nervous. Thanks

I bought a small box of colored chalk, only cost 97 cents and wipes right off when I use the eggs.
