Marking Eggs...

I am curious can you mark eggs after you put them in the incubator?
I am curious because I want to candle the eggs and want to mark the ones i will do.

I mark my eggs with an X on one side and an O on the other, as I put them in the incubator. When I candle I turn the eggs at the same time so I know which ones I have done.

I only use a pencil when i mark my eggs.

my question is can i mark them later in the process or is it only when you first start them?

I haven't tried marking mine later in but it seems like they'd b fine. Just don't keep them out of the bator too long.
