You are welcome. As many people know, I love to promote our hobby in the state of WV.

I just wanted you to know that either Jesse or Jonathan has been to each and every Chickenstock at the Tractor Supply. I also have been to each and every one at the Tractor Supply. Rules were not ignored in the past regarding out of state birds. I have personally seen Jonathan talk to people regarding such matters and a lady from PA left one time because she had brought in ducks to sell but didn't have the required flock testing done. In other cases...rules have changed over time. The 6 month rule and pay for your own testing have just come into play within the last few months. I wasn't going to say anything, but I want our past buyers to know that we do everything possible to keep our birds-->their birds safe and bio - secure.

I guess I meant not well defined instead of ignored. However if these are new rules that just came into effect then I must have misunderstood him. Either way we now have a much clearer picture of the current rules and regulations for future swaps. Thanks for clearing that up

We definitely have to keep up to date on this stuff to continue having these run as smoothly as possible.

Being this close to VA where their import rules are soooooooooo strict, we are fortunate to live in WV to enjoy our hobby.

Also all this is free info you can get just by going to the state vet site and look up the npip program.
Since it is easy info to get and all anyone with questions can go straight to the site.
I don't know why people are so scared to get npip. If it's fear of the government knowing you have birds that is easy to find out even if your not you do buy potty feed and I'm sure everyone at one time or another has used a credit or ATM card to buy. Well the gov has found you now just with that if they really wanted too.
The program is for people who really care about breeding and the health of their birds.
I know of a few out there that are not and care just as much for there flocks but won't get in the program.
I just don't get it. Anyway I ,Tammy and a few other have a Va permit to so we have went a step further to beable to sell legally to
The Va buyers at our swaps so they can take them back home with out any trouble from their state.
I hope everyone googles the npip program and takes away all this he said she said highschool crap.
I know I'm sick of it and all it will do is mess up all we All have worked for.
Research and move on please......

I wish the best for everyone and just want the best for keeping healthy safe swaps and someday shows for this area.
