Hello there fellow Marylanders! I'm new to chicken-keeping & BYC. I live in Carroll County (Mt. Airy) and I have a small backyard flock of 3 hens & 1 rooster. Your chickens are beautiful. What kind are they? Mine arrive this week. This is brand spankin new to me. I am outside of Annapolis.

I was at the farm store in Berlin today and they had some ducklings. Many different kinds. Give them a call in the morning and see what they have left, I bet they'll still have some!

Ohh, thanks. Was out of town, don't know if they'll still have some now. I'll check tomorrow.

Welcome! What kind of chickent do you have?

I think I have two Speckled Sussex hens, a Sebright mix rooster, and his daughter, also a mix, of course. I hope to eventually get a few more after I gain some experience. I fell really lucky to have found a small, established flock with a nice rooster. He's good with my 4 y.o. and my cats and dogs don't bother him one bit. Watching him find food for the girls is hilarious.
