MARYLAND THREAD!

My son is in 4H and I just found out that he can compete in more than one county in our area. I did not know that and he gets to do an exibition and one on one with local judges through University of Maryland that works with the Extention Program. Does anyone know more about this MD 4H stuff. We are totally stoked and are looking for projects for my son and his group to begin now. Hopefully next year they will be in full swing of things at the age of 9.
He is excited about doing some projects with kids in Wicomico County that he already knows. There are more willing people in Worcester where we are. When I say willing I mean by preserving breeds and trying to get some new breed recognized. Plus we are meeting more people with farm practices that are like ours. He is a super excited.

Hello friends. I am on the Lower Eater Shore and I am in search of a Dark Brahma breeder. If anyone does breed them or know someone who does, please let me know. Where are all of our breeders on the ES anyway?

I am not sure if most of you are like my family and I. We do our best to eat organic, non-GMO foods, hydroponic, and non processed meals. I have found a company that has some really good stuff for you and your chicks. Bad part is I need people in our area to subscribe to them to help us get a drop site in our area. Please help us all out. Especially if you are on the ES. Our local farmer's spray and outsource most of our food. Check out azurestandard.Com

Hi there -- I've been surfing BYC for a while, but finally decided to join. We recently acquired 5 ducks -- Anconas and Welsh Harlequins. I look forward to posting and getting to know other Maryland fowl aficionados! If anyone is interested in adopting an Ancona drake, please send me a note. -- Stacey

It is nice to meet you, Stacey. Welcome to our thread and BYC. Enjoy yourself, and do not be afraid to share anything about your birds. We are all here to help and have fun.
