I live in north baltimore and I have had chickens for a year and half now. I am looking to give away two egg laying hens. they are austrolorpes and they are black. they are getting bullied by other members of the flock and we have not been able to stop it. please let me know if you would be able to take these two chickens! they are a year and a half and we will give them to you for free! here are some pics! the first four are from after the bullying and the others are from before they are misssing quite a few feathers.
Hi! Were you able to rehome your pretty ladies? Or better yet, did they sort everything out on their own?

Hello All, I have a great 4H project for some chicken-minded youngster. Fella and FeatherFoot are porcelain d'uccles, hatched around Easter of 2018, so they're barely a year old. They are hand-raised, friendly and both took ribbons at the Cecil County Fair, last year. They're super-sweet, talkative little birds - they'll warble a conversation with you!
The original intention was to breed this pair (she lays 3-5 eggs a week,) but DD has college plans, now ... so we're downsizing. I really hate to let these two go, as they're absolutely gorgeous birds (IMHO, anyway!) Pictures do not do their plumage justice. The gray is dove-colored and the off white is a creamy beige. Fella's hackles and saddles have a golden undertone to them and when he's not allowed access to a chipped run, his foot plates are so big that he walks like he's wearing snowshoes!
The first 5 pics were taken last week. The last one is if the pair last fall. Check out Fella's foot feathers!

We're in the north-eastern corner of MD. To the right buyer (price negotiable, to support a youngster's 4H habit!) I'm willing to drive a bit.
Please share the pics with anyone you think may be interested in taking on this really nice pair.

I have chicks of several breeds available, just need to find a home for these little ones. They hatched on the 23rd and 24th, so just about one week old, they have been vaccinated for Mareks. This is our first hatch and we started with 18 and ended with 12. Of the eggs that made it to lockdown, we had a 100% hatch rate. Our Welsummers, Ameraucanas, and Black Copper Marans all came from Deer Run Farm here in MD. Our Black Australorps were an Ebay purchase. We feather sexed these and it seemed pretty obvious to us which were which, but we're not pro's so no guarantees.

Below is the list of what we have available, we will also probably have Lavender Orpingtons and Blue Laced Red Wyandottes available soon, going into lockdown tonight... oh ya with one extra thrown in Black Copper Maran egg.

1x Black Australorp pullet
2x Welsummers pullets
1x Black Ameraucana pullet
1x Black Copper Maran cockerel
1x Black Copper Maran pullet

Edit: I should have mentioned I am near BWI.

Sorry, but I'm a bit confused ... is that a typo or am I missing something? Non neared? Do you mean non-bearded? A non-bearded d'Uccles isn't really a d'Uccles. It's a booted bantam (also a nice breed!) Both Fella and FeatherFoot are bearded. I've had one (unrelated) porcelain booted bantam hen, and she looked pretty close to these, but sleek-head and necked.
I have yet to raise any chicks from this pair, as FeatherFoot only recently came into lay and her eggs were still very small. She's a year old, now, so she's ready to get serious! I had planned to start incubating her eggs last month, but then we decided to downsize ... so it just didn't make sense to add more peeps. I was (and AM) SO disappointed! I LOVE peeps!
If you're interested, I'll also be listing two breeding pairs of Rose-Combed Nankins. One pair is a year old, the other is two - all late Spring hatches. I have raised peeps from the older pair, but the youngsters are untried, yet. Nankins are really neat, really friendly little birds, and they're listed as Critically Endangered by the Livestock Conservancy.
